Stainless steel 309 is an austenitic, chromium-nickel stainless steel alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and toughness. It finds applications in furnaces, ductwork, and structural supports as well as its good machinability – it can be formed, roll-formed, stamped or drawn easily.
Grade 309 offers higher nickel and chromium content for improved corrosion resistance than its sister grades 304, allowing it to be used in sulfur-containing atmospheres up to 1832degF (1000degC). Furthermore, this stainless steel is highly resistant to oxidation – an ideal choice for applications requiring durability and strength.

Stainless steel pipe can be machined into any desired shape and size through various methods, such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. It also fits for welding with either fusion or resistance methods; oxyacetylene should not be used due to its susceptibility to corrosion.
Grade 309 stainless steel is unique from other grades due to its higher nickel and chromium content, making it more heat resistant than grade 304. This material is often used for piping systems exposed to harsh temperatures like those found in the petroleum industry.
It has a higher corrosion resistance than other stainless steel types, making it an ideal choice for food processing and marine applications. Furthermore, stainless steel boasts remarkable strength and tensile strength – perfect for structural supports and pressure vessels.
Welded stainless steel tube comes in various sizes and is typically welded together to form one seamless piece with no seams or joints. They can be constructed out of various materials, such as aluminum or stainless steel.
Welded 309 stainless steel tube is commonly used in industrial applications with extreme temperatures, such as furnaces and ductwork. It has also become a go-to material in chemical industry piping systems due to its outstanding corrosion resistance and strength.
SS TP309 pipe is an austenitic, chromium-nickel stainless steel alloy resistant to corrosion, with excellent strength and toughness. It can be machined into any desired shape or size using various methods such as lathes, drills, and other tools.
Welded stainless steel tube is affordably priced and popular in industrial applications that require high temperatures, such as furnaces or ductwork. It’s also a popular choice for chemical industry piping systems due to its excellent corrosion resistance and tensile strength.
