DX52D Galvanized Steel Pipe is the ideal material for industrial and commercial applications due to its zinc coating that shields it from corrosion. This makes it a popular material in plumbing components as well as other fabricated metal products.
Galvanizing is a corrosion protection process that coats carbon steel with zinc. This common practice applies to many metals and typically takes place in a molten zinc bath, where zinc atoms combine with those of steel to prevent them from oxidizing when exposed to oxygen-rich environments such as air or water.

Galvanizing is done in two methods: thermal spraying and hot-dip galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing involves submerging a sheet of steel into a bath of molten zinc to coat it with an even layer of zinc.
Alloyed galvanized steel sheet is produced through the hot-dip process, but after leaving the molten zinc bath it’s heated to approximately 500 degrees to form an alloy film of iron and zinc. This type of steel exhibits excellent coating adhesion and weldability.
Xinsteel offers a vast selection of galvanized products suitable for residential and commercial projects. Our inventory includes galvanized pipe and tube, along with all necessary fittings.
The most straightforward way to cut galvanized pipe is with a hacksaw or tube-cutting tool. Make sure the pipe is securely held in a vise or clamp before beginning; you may need additional support at either end if needed.
